Development of a MATLAB-GAMS Framework for Solving the Problem Regarding the Optimal Location and Sizing of PV Sources in Distribution Networks

This paper addresses the planning problem regarding location and sizing of PV generators in distribution networks with a radial topology. is mathematically modeled using mixed integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) model, which seeks to reduce total annual operating costs system for horizon 20 years. The objective function used this comprises three elements: (i) energy purchase at substation node (i.e., main supply node), (ii) investment integration generators, (iii) associated operation maintenance these devices. To solve problem, interconnection MATLAB GAMS software proposed, while master–slave methodology, high-quality solution achieved.
